COOKBOOK SIGNING: Elias Cairo of Olympia Provisions On Saturday, we are pleased to have Elias Cairo -- founder and chief charcuterie-maker of Olympia Provisions - at the Market! Elias will be sampling various salamis and sausages, and will be selling and signing copies of his Olympia Provisions cookbook at the market from 9-12 on Saturday. (It should go without saying that this book would be a perfect Father's Day gift for the special dads in your life!) If you've ever wanted to make your own homemade sausage, cured meats, or paté -- look no further. This book is an incredible resource and an in-depth look at the wonderful world of charcuterie. As a special preview of the book, we are sharing a recipe for Parsley and Pecorino Sausage below. We are excited to try our hand at making sausage, as this looks like an awesome recipe.

All that to say, come say hello to Elias at the market on Saturday. And if you don't have a copy of the Olympia Provisions cookbook, be sure to pick one up!

Making sausages at home can be a bit intimidating, but this post makes the
process feel so approachable. The historical context about it being an
Easter tradition adds such a lovely touch to the meal prep. I’m planning
to host a small tasting party with my neighbors once the batch is ready!
I wanted to share this specific ingredient list and the step-by-step
instructions with my cooking club. Since I prefer drafting in Markdown,
I used these MarkdownFlow Free Online Markdown Tools
to quickly convert the guide into a Word document for them. It’s so much
easier for everyone to add their own notes and print it out for the kitchen!
I absolutely love the combination of Pecorino and fresh parsley—it brings
such a vibrant, Mediterranean soul to homemade sausage. This recipe from the
Olympia Provisions cookbook is a masterclass in balancing bold, salty
flavors with fresh herbs. I can't wait to pick up some pasture-raised pork
at the market this Saturday to try it out!
I’ve been building my own digital "Farm-to-Table" cookbook by collecting
local market recipes like this. To keep my collection looking professional,
I used MarkdownConverter Pro to transform
my Markdown recipe notes into beautifully formatted PDFs. It’s been an
essential tool for archiving my culinary experiments!
I love the idea of making homemade sausage, and the Parsley and Pecorino Sausage recipe sounds fantastic! It’s great to see chefs like Elias Cairo sharing their expertise.
